When your kid gets sick or your spouse gets hurt, getting the help you need shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. Yet healthcare costs continue to skyrocket, and the number of people who can’t afford to insure their families against that risk is in the six digits. High rates of uninsured people contributes to rising healthcare costs, which hurts us all. Closing that coverage gap would be a significant step toward making healthcare more accessible to everyone.
We also need to make sure that vital programs that save Nebraskan lives don’t get swept away. Services that help improve mental health conditions and support kids with special needs – these make a huge difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors. Scott will continue supporting these efforts and encourage innovative new approaches to treatment delivery.
